In 1975, Peter Kopoulos and two of his best friends, Barry Pope and George Fintonis, moved to North Conway from their home town Lynn, Massachusetts. They wanted to move not only to enjoy the great skiing but also to contribute their favorite North Shore food to the Valley-the Roast Beef sandwich. Little did they know how popular the concept would become when they opened the original Beef and Ski Restaurant in 1976 and that's where it began.
Situated about a half a mile south of our current location in the Village, the original restaurant spawned memories for both locals and visitors that still can be heard echoing through the Valley today. For thirty years these memories were made and never forgotten.
March 10th. 2013. ushered in a new era for Beef and Ski. Peter Kopoulos and his new wife. Sarah. opened the current location in North Conway Village. No-v. old memories meet over food and drinks while new memories are made.
While the unchanged concept remains, a few things have been added, such as a full bar with beer, wine and liquor and the beautiful garden courtyard overlooking the Moat Mountains with live music on the weekends. We strive to keep the old charm while creating a fun and inviting atmosphere for our patrons.
We look forward to creating more memories with you!
